Kimble Custom Chassis, a division of Kimble Manufacturing, designs, manufactures and assembles purpose-built vehicles, hydraulic fracturing pumps, and heavy-duty trailers. Activities address an array of markets such as oil/gas, mining, foundation drillers and aerial applications. Kimble Chassis designs range from C Channel, Torque Box, I Beam, or Fabricated Rail construction as based on customer requirements. Vehicles can be equipped with 2 to 7 axles with multiple steering axles (including all-wheel steer) and tandem, tridem, or all wheel drive configurations. Cab assemblies are constructed in steel or aluminum with single or 2-man arrangements.
All units are designed and built in a 130,000 square foot facility. During my tenure, the Kimble Chassis division was generating annual revenue of approximately $5.2M and was experiencing double digit growth. Kimble Chassis was a division of the Kimble Companies, a $100M organization involved in minerals mining, oil and gas exploration, agriculture, distribution, manufacturing, and waste management. Kimble Chassis was sold to the Hines Corporation, as part of the Kimble Manufacturing acquisition in 2006.
Through a series of subsequent acquisitions and mergers, Kimble Chassis was merged with the Crane Carrier Corporation and in 2019 became a holding of Turnspire Capital Partners LLC.
